09/05/05: Once again, it has been a long time since the last update. Since then the season has ended. Firstly, the Stats page has been updated and other pages will be updated in the next few days, including the Photo Gallery.

 

Secondly, I'd just like to say a big thanks for everyone who took part in the UWA Greens experience this season, it's been a fantastic year! A big thanks to everyone was involved this year, from the people who turned up to training, to the people who were in the squad, and to the people involved in the starting eleven. It has been a great year! In previous years the Greens have come bottom and 2nd from bottom, so coming 6th (not to mention being 2nd for most of the season, and equal top for a few games) is a amazing achievement!

 

Well done on a great years boys, 6th in the league, reaching the Digs semi-finals, where luck just wasn't on our side. Hope you all have fun in whatever you do from here on in, and let's all make the Awards Night a Social to remember the season by!

23/03/05: Have now added the Hall of Fame page to the site. So far, according to Greens votes past and present, Richie and myself have been inducted. I've added up Richie's bio and part of mine. Other than that, not much else has been added other than some links to other teams websites such as No Friends, TATB, Dovey, YMA and UWA.

 

Also, no date has been set yet for the PE game. As soon as I find out I'll post the date on here, the messageboard and send out an e-mail.

 

18/03/05: Have a good Easter break boys! Get your batteries charged up for the PE game when we get back. Simply put, win that and we guarantee that we finish in the Play-Off places, if we don't win it then we still have a chance of qualifying but it'll be down to other results.

 

Updated the Photo Gallery with individual photos of players after the TATB game, photos from the Cere 5-a-side team featuring Clart, Junior, Andy, Ginger Phil and myself, also added pictures from the Social on Wednesday. Top night by the way, have to do the same again after the PE game. Added more stuff to the Players page now that I have photos of everyone, and there is a UWA Greens Legends page in the works, just waiting for people to cast their votes.

 

On a last note, if anyone wants tickets to the LDV final, the mighty Wrexham vs shitty Southend, then give me a shout ASAP as Richie is getting tickets over the weekend. Final is on April 10th and tickets are £30, although there are other tickets for £18 and £44.

06/03/05: Happy Mother's Day to all of your mum's out there, especially Birdy's mum :P

 

Anyways, training this week is on Monday and then on Sunday, 8pm Monday and 3pm Sunday. We've got a game on Wednesday against Tight At The Back. In case you're reading this, you're cunts! Only messing. Anyways, big game boys, need to get our fingers out of arses and get a win. Going on previous matches, it should be a close and tight game so we're gonna have to have our heads screwed on right from the off. After the match there is a joint social with us and TATB. This could be quality or it could be shit, depending how the results go. You know whoever loses is going to be punished heavily and also ripped all night, all week, all season, etc... so basically we've got to get a win on Wednesday to get us the 3 points and also to make banter more interesting on the social :D

 

01/03/05: Happy St. David's Day! I know that you all love Wales so much so let's celebrate! Or maybe not, maybe just me, Iest, Wride, Ows, Richie and Osh if he's up to it can celebrate while the rest of you sit and sulk about how shit England are at rugby! You love it!

 

Anyways, added 3 new galleries to the photo section, Besty's Birthday, 27th Feb Pier Pressure, and Bar FTSE after the Dragons game. Also, added the teams from the Flex-Off and Dragons game to the Line-Ups page, also updated the Stats to include the Dragons game. With regards to M.O.M for Sunday, it was a close call between Besty and Chris for me, with Chris just edging it. I think it's fair to say that a few early clangers in the season were put to rest on Sunday with a great shot-stopping display by the big man. Also, Besty was quality in midfield, constantly working, getting stuck in, talking and even getting an assist. That's 1 assist! Not 2! Claiming that you won the penalty with your eyes doesn't count as an assist so that one's gone down as Little Stu's assist.

 

Anyways, next game is a week tomorrow, 9th March, against Tight At The Back. That'll be a massive game and a massive night out, Reload! Also, training is on Sunday as well this week, 3pm down at Park Avenue and we've got the pitch for 3 hours if needed.
